Potential headache for fellow web designers?

This article on The Standard tipped me off to a potential for a lot of recoding for fellow web dev heads. It seems that Eolas and the University of Californnia are suing Microsoft for patent infringement relating to technology that "allows web page developers to embed interactive programs in Web pages. A browser, equipped with the University of California’s patented technology, is able to deliver that interactivity to the user. For example, the technology is used often with stock information, video players, games, virtual real estate tours and other interactive content on the Web. The patent allows the Web to be a platform for fully interactive embedded applications." More at the UC office of the President webpage.

A computer for the Eco/Green crowd

From NEC: "a boxless, low energy, boron free, NuCycle™ plastic", PC, PC! Called the Powermate® Eco.
Pity the birkenstock wearing, wheat grass sippin', poor soul when it's time for an upgrade. :- >

What's the origin of the fajita?

Pondering the wierd is one of my many sidelines...
The Houston, TX based resturant Pappasito's has one answer.
Although, a good ol' Google searchcan not verify such a study was ever done.

I was strolling through the websever logs at work and ran across this lovely little agent slurping up bandwidth. The only information in English (not Japanese) that I could find was this

Teething

The little one is teething. Mom went home for two hours to help the FMIL (Favorite Mother In Law) settle the baby. Motrin®, Orajel®, and a bottle later she settled down. A preview of a fun night i'm sure of that.

It all depends on what you're talking about

If you really MUST get a life...get a "second" one

Here's your "great" new start. ;-> No plastic surgey, degree, or fancy car required. Just a monthly fee and a zippy internet connection.
And you don't have to tell them I sent you. I can certainly see a deadly habit forming side to this type of activity. Go out and get some sun for crying out loud. Isn't your real life (in whatever concrete meaning of the word to you) stimulating enough? If not, consider the local coffeeshop, bookstore, public park/garden.... you get the idea.

Be glad you don't get your soda in India...be very glad

Seems there some "extra" ingredients

A brand new day

It's Friday, my second day blogging. Hurray for the weekend!
Our 7 month old bundle of joy is yipping and yapping. It was tough leaving this a.m. I think I heard her complaining about!

for all things barbeque, bbq, barbecue

Let me include this link to my one of my favorite NGs
Google Search: alt.food.barbecue
If you have a question about hot smoking food using indirect heat this is the place to ask your question.

So, I am finally blogged

Guess we'll see what happens. I am a little late to this party...[I know] but, I didn't see the point in a blog until I finished a "proof of concept" project at the Zoo and then started reading some blogs from "the"Cold Fusion web developer and a Sci-fi author. The final key to unlock my "inner blogger" was the "blog this" feature added to the Google Tool bar.

I am not promising anything in regard to regular blog entries, etc.. but, when I do I'll make damn sure it's something (half-way) decent.
