The Blog and Nothing but the Blog
A blog from the mind of Rob Ainbinder. The intersection of work (SEO/SEM, internet/email marketing) and home (husband, dad, DIYer, and occasional cook/baker).

My First Greensboro Weblogger Meetup
Well, I didn't know quite what to expect and was pleasantly suprised. I met:
and a host of other Triad bloggers.
Special Shout out to theShu for some tips for googling up more Randolph County bloggers... that's one more!
The group was welcoming and the conversation included blogging, politics, golf and meanderd through other topics. I made one particularly "graceful" move during a conversation. While explaining a phenomenon encountered with shout boxes some of my coffee drink "jumped" on to my shirt. Unbelievable!
Well, there goes my chance to make a good first impression! ;-)
Join the fun.

Thanks for the head's up Subway on your wheat bread
My wife and I were mystified about the lack of wheat bread in the stores recently. So, I sent a message to HQ.
I got a really informative e-mail from the home office:
"Due to quality concerns with some wheat bread dough, one of our bread suppliers initiated a voluntary product withdrawal of some of the Wheat bread manufactured in one of its plants.
As a result of the voluntary withdrawal, some SUBWAY restaurants may temporarily be out of stock of Wheat and Honey Oat breads. New wheat bread has already been produced and is currently arriving at stores. Wheat bread inventory will be fully restored by Friday, April 22.
Sorry for any inconvenience. At SUBWAY, our number one concern is for the safety of our customers."
Happy Patriot's Day
To honor the holiday like my grade school teachers taught me here's a link to my original post (9/10/2003)
Patriot's,Patriots', or Patriot? Is there room for more than one Patriot's Day?
Geek Alert: Adobe Systems to Acquire Macromedia for $3.4 Billion
This article spells is out: Adobe Systems to Acquire Macromedia for $3.4 Billion .
WOW! If you're an investor or insider and knew something about this I'm happy for you.
Now I am wondering what will happen to the products sitting on my work desktop and dev server?
Fireworks- Could it be combined with Photoshop? That's ok with me.. I cut my teeth on Photoshop. Just keep the vector functionality I'm used to.
Dreamweaver - Well, don't try and mess with this at the risk of pissing off the legions of users. I don't want GoLive or anything that looks like GoLive. I tried it, Version 1, and it was clunky at best.
Flash- Here's were Adobe wins. Native Flash intergration is a win for the Abobe wipped.
ColdFusion- Adobe better leave this one alone too. This is product where Adobe has nothing to offer.
